Music for the eyes:
In my paintings, graphics and installations I employ the means of expression in the visual arts in the same way as a composer works with music.
Exploiting the scope  of the whole spectrum, I play through the possibilities in colours, hues and qualities: I give form to, mirror, add to, subtract; to create resonances, harmonies and disharmonies.
I work on development of the geometrical form's spatial and optical possibilities: with lines, planes and colours I create space, motion and tensions in the picture plane, cause it to vibrate so that the picture's elements retract into the picture or extend towards the observer.
Light and dark, high and low, open and closed, static and dynamic; in the composition - in the context of both the musical and the visual arts - there is a bringing together of some of the contradictions which the whole span of existence seems strung up in.
